About D#sus2

The notes of D#sus2 are D# (root), E# (second) and A# (perfect fifth). Its interval formula is 1 – 2 – 5. It is a suspended chord: it swaps the third for the second, so it is neither major nor minor and sounds open and floating.

D#sus2 has no standard open shape in the CAGED system, so its 23 voicings are sorted only by difficulty and position on the neck. Another way to write D#sus2 is Ebsus2 (the same piano key, with a different name). The usual choice is Ebsus2.
