Frequently asked questions
How do I mark a barre?
In the “Barre” section, choose the fret and the strings it covers (from and to) and press “Add barre”. When several strings are pressed on the same fret, the editor suggests the barre and you apply it with “Apply”.
How do I show open or muted strings?
Click a string above the diagram: it switches between open (O) and muted (X). Clicking the fretboard adds or removes a finger on that fret.
How do I download the chord as a PNG?
In the “Export” section, choose the size (1x, 2x or 4x) and whether the background is transparent, then press “Export PNG”. If the diagram has errors, fix them before exporting.
How do I show a chord that starts on another fret?
Change the “Starting fret”: the fingers and barres move with it, and the diagram shows the starting fret as a number (for example, 5fr).
