About Dbsus4

The Dbsus4 chord is made up of Db (root), Gb (perfect fourth) and Ab (perfect fifth). Its interval formula is 1 – 4 – 5. It is a suspended chord: it replaces the third with the perfect fourth, which creates a tension that usually resolves to the major chord.

Dbsus4 has no standard open shape in the CAGED system, so its 29 voicings are sorted only by difficulty and position on the neck. Dbsus4 is also written as C#sus4: the same chord with the root spelled differently, and it sounds identical. The more common spelling is Dbsus4.
