About C#sus4

C#sus4 is built from three notes: C# (root), F# (perfect fourth) and G# (perfect fifth). In scale degrees above the root, the formula is 1 – 4 – 5. It is a suspended chord: it replaces the third with the perfect fourth, which creates a tension that usually resolves to the major chord.

C#sus4 has no standard open shape in the CAGED system, so its 29 voicings are sorted only by difficulty and position on the neck. C#sus4 is also written as Dbsus4: the same chord with the root spelled differently, and it sounds identical. The more common spelling is Dbsus4.
