About Bbsus4

The Bbsus4 chord is made up of Bb (root), Eb (perfect fourth) and F (perfect fifth). Its interval formula is 1 – 4 – 5. It is a suspended chord: it replaces the third with the perfect fourth, which creates a tension that usually resolves to the major chord.

Bbsus4 has no standard open shape in the CAGED system, so its 25 voicings are sorted only by difficulty and position on the neck. Another way to write Bbsus4 is A#sus4 (the same piano key, with a different name). Bbsus4 is the usual choice.
