About A#sus4

A#sus4 is built from three notes: A# (root), D# (perfect fourth) and E# (perfect fifth). In scale degrees above the root, the formula is 1 – 4 – 5. It is a suspended chord: it replaces the third with the perfect fourth, which creates a tension that usually resolves to the major chord.

A#sus4 has no standard open shape in the CAGED system, so its 25 voicings are sorted only by difficulty and position on the neck. Another way to write A#sus4 is Bbsus4 (the same piano key, with a different name). The usual choice is Bbsus4.
