About B augmented
B augmented is built from three notes: B (root), D# (major third) and F## (augmented fifth). Its interval formula is 1 – 3 – #5. Its augmented fifth gives it a restless, mysterious sound, and because it is symmetrical the same chord repeats every four semitones.
B augmented has no standard open shape in the CAGED system, so its 38 voicings are sorted only by difficulty and position on the neck.
