About A#sus2

A#sus2 is built from three notes: A# (root), B# (second) and E# (perfect fifth). Its interval formula is 1 – 2 – 5. It is a suspended chord: it swaps the third for the second, so it is neither major nor minor and sounds open and floating.

A#sus2 has no standard open shape in the CAGED system, so its 20 voicings are sorted only by difficulty and position on the neck. A#sus2 is also written as Bbsus2: the same chord with the root spelled differently, and it sounds identical. The more common spelling is Bbsus2.
